A new variety for 2025 - the perfect way to large, long-lived blooms to a border or raised bed, as well as ideal for filling baskets and containers. Flowers are retained for up to five months, from June to October, held over semi-evergreen foliage which is retained all year in very mild parts of the UK. Commonly known as the Cape Daisy, Osteospermum ‘Señorita Double Crème’ is a South African native which likes dry sunny conditions once a good root structure has been established. Stems are long enough to be cut for a vase or posy – so you can add their colour indoors as well as out. Equally, they are well suited to a small pot on a sunny windowsill indoors and ‘Señorita’ has been hailed as a flamboyant, fuller bloom than many other Osteospermum, with pom-pom interior petals accented by a halo of longer petals. Plant Osteospermum ‘Señorita Double Crème’ in well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Position in full sun or partial shade with a south or west facing aspect. Once established these tender (H2) perennials are drought tolerant and reach a height and spread of 20cm.
