Your garden will be full of scentGlossy dark green foliage is the perfect backdrop as Osmanthus x burkwoodii produces clusters of starry, white, almost sparkling blooms in mid to late spring. The handsome, evergreen foliage is dense and creates an upright, rounded, bushy beauty, and is perfect either as a stand-alone plant or as part of a tall hedge. The tubular flowers release their clouds of jasmine-like fragrance and entice passing pollinators to your wildlife garden. Any female flowers are replaced by ovoid berries.A winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit for outstanding performance in the garden, Osmanthus x burkwoodii will grow up to 3m tall, and spreads 3-4m. A fully hardy shrub with an RHS hardiness rating of H5, so will not usually require any winter protection across most of the UK.
