Tell Me More...
Hot, heady blooms radiate warmth throughout the garden from in summer and autumn, reminiscent of the heat of their African home. Non-stop Kniphofia Popsicle Collection brings you sword-shaped clumps of foliage from March to November each year. These bring beneficial groundcover (best left in situ over the winter to protect the plants’ crowns from harsh frosts). In July each plant pushes up towering, poker-like spikes which are covered in radiating, tubular shaped flowers, lasting right through to September. Blooms offer a nectar-rich feast to pollinators and intense colour to vases, pots or sunny borders. Plants are drought tolerant once established and will happily adapt to rockeries and coastal gardens too. Your collection comprises ‘Redhot Popsicle’ with a height and spread of 50-60cm; RHS Award of Garden Merit holder, ‘Mango Popsicle’ with a height and spread of 60-75cm; and ‘Orange Vanilla Popsicle’ with a height and spread of 80cm.
