Tell Me More...
Nepeta racemosa 'Walker's Low' is a award-winning variety of nepeta which is sure to be appreciated by you, your garden visitors, your feline friends and any visiting pollinators. Deeply hued, lavender blue flowers are produced above clumps of serrated edged, green foliage in June to September each year. Foliage is held from April to October and provides a reliable way to cover bare spots in the borders. This eye-catching plant holds the RHS Award for Garden Merit - a recognisable assurance of its reliability and dependability in the garden. Do not be mistaken that this is a low growing, or compact variety though - it reaches a height and spread of up to 75cm. Even though not diminutive in stature, plants will happily live in a pot or container as stems are strong and upright with flowers having a light and airy habit.Nepeta racemosa 'Walker's Low' is a fully hardy herbaceous perennial which is drought tolerant once established. Plants prefer moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
