Tell Me More...
Nepeta Junior Walker is a dwarf compact form of Nepeta. When in flower, from June to September, Nepeta has a magnetic attraction for butterflies and bees. Like many herbaceous perennials, it is the foliage which emits the scent. Gardeners often use this variety as a low growing lining to paths in order to enjoy the fragrant foliage as they brush past the leaves. The flowers themselves are an alluring shade of lavender blue. This new variety is sterile which means, the plant does not set seed, does not spread and flowers for longer. As the flowers 'go over' a quick 'haircut' leads to reflowering making this a low-maintenance essential - added to which Nepeta Junior Walker will survive periods of drought, average soil and the worst of the elements. A great herbaceous perennial.
