Narcissus romieuxii 'Julia Jane' was found growing wild in Northern Africa and named after the original collector's daughter.Slender, almost needle-like, bright green foliage accentuates the colour as large, wide, scented, trumpet-shaped blooms in soft shades of buttery yellow looking almost paper-like arrive in March and April. Appearing a little like a petunia, the petals reflex when fully mature, creating an almost flat flower. Happy to be grown in containers or in borders, the stems make long-lasting cut flowers adding colour and scent to small posies or arrangements. They will readily naturalise, increasing each year to produce more plants for you and nearby pollinators to enjoy.Drought tolerant, Narcissus romieuxii 'Julia Jane' is hardy, and prefers to be grown in a sunny spot in well-drained soil where it will reach a height of 10-20cm, spreading 5-10cm. Being herbaceous it will become dormant during the coldest of the winters, sprouting again in the spring.
