Tell Me More...
One of the group of dwarf Narcissus, Jetfire is excellent for planting in areas which are susceptible to stronger breezes as it reaches only 20cm in height. Despite its diminutive size this is an intensely colourful bloom with swept back, bright golden yellow petals surround blazing orange trumpets. Narcissus 'Jetfire' brings joyous colour and a jaunty nature to your planting, meaning this spirited flower is hard to observe without smiling. Spectacular whether planted in a generous drift, packed tightly in a pot, or combined with muscari, iris and dwarf tulips for a mixed, spring display. Sturdy stems also make 'Jetfire' an excellent variety for cutting; be sure to plant extra to allow plenty of spares for the vase. Flowers from March to April. Prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soil which remains moist during the growing season. Position where it will receive full sun to light, dappled shade. A hardy, bulbous perennial which requires no winter protection providing it is not waterlogged.
