With its sweet, earthy fragrance and extravagant looking frilly flowers, Narcissus 'Dick Wilden' is sure to create a stir when it blooms in April and May. A Double flowering variety which brings generous frills which resemble yellow and orange pom poms at its heart - accompanied by larger, golden outer petals. A glowing, glorious sight in containers, herbaceous borders, rockeries or naturalised through lawns. Stems are strong and tall, up to 45cm, so flowers are also perfect cut for a vase or floral display. As heralds of the spring narcissus are said to symbolise new beginnings and happiness. What better way brighten and lighten both your garden and your home.Narcissus 'Dick Wilden' prefers a moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. A hardy, bulbous perennial which requires no winter protection if planted in free draining ground. If planted in pots, protect in the harshest of weather as bulbs are not so well insulated.
