Known commonly as the White Hoop Petticoat daffodil, Narcissus cantabricus White Petticoat produces extraordinary, open blooms from March to April. Looking just like a hooped petticoat, the upward-facing, large, white, conical coronas with green throats and narrow white petals are highly unusual. Looking amazing when in both borders or containers, this historic variety also makes an exceptional addition when cut for posies and small arrangements, lasting well in a vase.Daffodils are deer and rabbit resistant and will naturalise well creating clumps or drifts through borders and grassy areas, they are a true delight that we all look forward to towards the end of winter. Narcissus cantabricus 'White Petticoat' prefers to be grown in moist but well-drained soil, in a sunny or partially shaded area, where it will reach a height of around 20cm. Hardy to around -10 C, winter protection will not usually be required.
