An exciting, dwarf variety of this popular plant which is perfect for adding to pots on tables, the front of pathways and borders or dotting in amongst a gravel garden to bring varying height and texture along with cheery variegation. Miscanthus sinensis Little Tiger offers slender, sword-like foliage with irregular stripes of yellow and green, similar to the patterns on a tiger, which give this jaunty grass its delightful name! Foliage is produced in tufted clumps between March and November - providing low-growing, spreading intrigue. Furthermore, plants are beneficially drought tolerant once they have established a good root structure. Miscanthus sinensis Little Tiger prefers a spot in well-drained soil which benefits from full sun or partial shade. A fully hardy, herbaceous perennial, trim back before new shoots emerge in early spring but leave spent foliage over winter as it provides a valuable habitat to insects and other smaller creatures. Matures to a height and spread of 50cm.
