Compact, complementary blooms to add decorous umbellifer forms to containers and borders. Achillea millefolium 'Milly Rock' Collection has fern-like silvery green foliage which emerges in March to form decorous mounds which remain until November. From May, strong stems emerge and grow into dainty, flattened, densely packed flowerheads – each with a contrasting centre. Achillea takes its name from the Greek mythological character Achilles as, according to legend, Achilles’ soldiers used Yarrow to treat their wounds and expedite their healing. Yarrow is also believed to act as a styptic – something which stops bleeding. Collection comprises ‘Pink’, ‘Red Improved’ and ‘Yellow Terracotta’. The hues of our 'Milly Rock' Collection’s nectar rich flowers will shift and change as the blooms mature to add fantastic, animated impact. Plants are fully hardy (H7), herbaceous perennials which provide wonderful sustenance to all kinds of pollinators. Equally happy planted in borders or in a pot. Achillea millefolium 'Milly Rock' Collection prefers a spot which benefits from well-drained soil, of any type except clay, in full sun and will reach a height and spread of 30cm.
