The crowning glory, Lysimachia nummularia 'Goldilocks' will light up your garden with shiny, almost luminous, rounded, golden-lime foliage which is held along long, strong stems. Small, cup-shaped, bright yellow blooms are produced in the leaf axils in July and August, like golden jewels which top the plant off perfectly. With the common name ‘Golden Creeping Jenny’, the stems will gracefully trail to around 50cm as they gently tumble and spill over the edges of baskets, tall pots, or walls. Reaching an overall height of up to 10cm, each plant will spread to around 90cm. Equally happy in borders, where the dense mats of evergreen, weed-suppressing foliage will form, spreading by rhizomes. Given the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the RHS for outstanding performance in the garden, Lysimachia nummularia 'Goldilocks' is a hardy (H5), evergreen perennial which tolerates temperatures down to -15°C and does not need additional winter protection throughout most of the UK. Plant in moist, well drained soil of any kind. Position in full sun or partial shade with any aspect other than north facing.
