The ‘Luxuriant Salvia Collection’ comprises; x jamensis ‘Nachtvlinder’ (AGM) – velvety, dark plum-purple blooms with a sumptuous red-purple sheen, height 50-75cm, spread 40-50cm, evergreen minty-blackcurrant foliage, hardy to -15°C (H5); greggii ‘Cool Cream’ - large creamy-white blooms with a slight pink tint, height 80cm, deciduous, hardy to -15°C (H5); and x jamensis ‘Blackberry Ripple’ – a new introduction with fruity, almost two-tone blackberry-purple blooms over sage-scented, deciduous foliage, height 80cm, spread 60cm, hardy to -10°C (H4).
Plant the ‘Luxuriant Scented Salvia Collection’ into fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Drought tolerant once established. Hardy perennials which are evergreen and herbaceous. Extra winter protection may be required during wintertime if temperatures dip below -10°C.
