With grace and charm, the 'Loopy Lupin Trio' will create an excellent statement piece in your garden.Bred by the UK's premier breeder of lupins- West Country Nurseries - the quality and robustness of these lupins is superb. Being perennials, lupins return in the early summer each year. A mainstay of the British garden, lupins are in demand as never before.Collection comprises; 'Cashmere Cream' - gentle tones of pink and cream create an understated beauty, height 80cm, spread 50cm; 'Melody' - warm ocean blue tones with a splash of white, height 90cm, spread 60cm; and 'Gladiator' - a vibrant giant lupin, boasting bright orange and yellow blooms, height 90cm, spread 60cm. The palmate foliage, which is attractive in its own right, is divided into narrow leaflets. Lupins are a cottage garden favourite, much visited by pollinators and excellent as a cut flower. Lupins prefer to be grown in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Hardy and short-lived perennials, allow some flowers to set seed, ensuring future generations. Cut others back hard after flowering to direct energy back into plants, increasing the likelihood of healthy growth the following year.
