Unusual tulips which radiate a zesty spring freshness wherever you choose to plant them in borders and containers, they are sure to attract pollinators and also many admiring comments.
This ‘Lime Twist Tulip Collection’ comprises; ‘Green Power’ – a Triumph variety, boasting green blooms with a hint of lemon yellow, height 50cm; ‘Bleu Aimable’ – a single late variety – in April and May, generous cup-shaped blooms in rich shades of dusky blue-mauve, soften in colour as they mature, height 60cm; and ‘Florosa’ – a Viridiflora variety – in April and May, pastel pink and cream petals intensify in colour as the blooms mature, culminating in deep pink shades with lime green streaks to the centre of each petal, height 50cm.
The ‘Lime Twist Tulip Collection’ prefers to be planted in fertile, well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay and position in full sun with any aspect other than north facing. Hardy (H6), bulbous perennials, allow the foliage to die back naturally to reinvigorate the bulb ready for flowering in the following spring.
