Held above and almost covering the semi-evergreen mounds, each white flower with a yellow centre has the delicate detail of a large winter snowflake, hence its name 'Blossom of Snow'. Incredibly hardy down to at least -20 C, Leontopodium nivale subsp. alpinum 'Blossom of Snow ' is deer and rabbit resistant. Prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil of any type other than clay. Plant in a sunny spot of any aspect. This hardy, semi-evergreen holds its foliage from February to November and reaches a height of 30cm with a spread of 40cm.
