With their voluminous, open faced flowers from April through to September this trio is a ‘must have’ for lavatera lovers. Illuminating Lavatera Marshmallow Collection are medium sized shrubs which reach 1.5 metres in height and spread – ideal for a large container as well as border or sunny corner. With verdant foliage held from March to October, these compact mallows are perfect of fill gaps in your planting, whilst the flowering stems look radiant when cut for a vase inside your home. The open-faced, trumpet shaped flowers are ideal for attracting pollinators, and plants are beneficially drought tolerant once established. Illuminating Lavatera Marshmallow Collection comprises ‘Cherry Blush’ with deep and intense cherry centres; ‘White’ with pure blooms contrasting beautifully with the verdant foliage; and ‘Strawberry Cream’ in delicious, pastel shades. Plant in light, moderately fertile, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun and enjoys any aspect other than north facing.
