An exciting new arrival for 2024. Lavandula x intermedia ‘Sensational’ is a low-growing, intensely perfumed and aromatic shrub which flowers from June to September. A robust variety with fabulous silvery green foliage which is retained all year round for gap-filling interest. Flowers are abundant and exceptionally fragrant, with blooms up to 11cm long – perfect for adding to a vase, either fresh or dried, so their beauty and perfume can be enjoyed indoors. ‘Sensational’ has been bred to be compact, with thicker, stronger stems which will not bend easily, and reaches a height and spread of around 60cm. This means it fits neatly into a pot, as well as making a beautiful focal point at the front of a border or lining a pathway. It also responds well to clipping; keeping a neat, tight, bushy shape, excellent for topiarising into spheres.
