A rounded, bushy, iconic cottage garden perennial, Lavandula x intermedia Provence introduces scent and structure to any garden. A versatile beauty, the fabulous grey-green evergreen foliage looks equally stunning whether grown as stand-alone specimen, as part of a mixed border, or grown as a sensually fragrant hedge. Terminal spikes of scented, purple-blue blooms are produced from June to August attracting bees and other pollinators. A cross between angustifolia and latifolia - Intermedia means in between - this group are typically much larger and more robust than other Lavender. Wonderful for filling larger spaces, their lovely long flowering stalks make them ideal to cut for your indoor floral arrangements providing long lasting perfume and style. Lavandula x intermedia Provence is a drought and heat tolerant mediterranean beauty, which will reach a height and spread of up to 90cm. Hardy to around -15 C, with an RHS rating of H5, the evergreen foliage will delight all year round. Full sun is preferable in any aspect except north facing with a very well-drained soil, lavender hate wet feet.
