A sensational frothy seasonal performer which is ideal for softening the edges of beds and containers throughout the warmer months. Laurentia axillaris ‘Mintaka Blue’ produces large, 4cm, star-shaped lavender-blue blooms which burst from the ferny foliage like exploding fireworks. An Australian native which is unusually cold tolerant and able to withstand temperatures as low as -5°C. Mostly grown as an annual ‘Mintaka Blue will be covered in starry blue flowers; some with a pinkish tinge and all with a lime green and white centre. This showstopping, visual delight lasts from late May to October and is certainly one not to be missed. Furthermore, the plant can even be grown as a perennial in milder, sheltered areas of the UK. Prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. H&S: 30cm.
