The award-winning Lathyrus latifolius 'White Pearl' - a reliable, easy-going perennial climber which brings you armfuls of cut flowers all summer and into early autumn. Climbing a trellis, scrambling through a shrub or spreading across the ground, the racemes of unscented, pea-like flowers create a beautiful display. Bumblebees and butterflies visit to pollinate the flowers and feast on the nectar making your garden a 'hive of industry'. Recognised by the RHS for its outstanding performance, Lathyrus latifolius 'White Pearl' holds the esteemed Award of Garden Merit. Like most leguminous plants, Lathyrus latifolius 'White Pearl' has the beneficial ability to put nitrogen back in the soil - aiding surrounding plants and future planting. Glaucous foliage emerges in early spring and remains until the first frosts. Prefers any, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. A fully hardy, herbaceous perennial which grows to a mature height and spread of 2m.
