Anyone who likes to grow unusual plants, will love the Viridiflora species of tulip. Renowned for long-lasting flowers, both in the garden and in arrangements for your home, their unusual recurved, pointed petals with striking green markings are incredibly eye-catching. This ‘Lasting Viridiflora Tulip Collection’ comprises; ‘Spring Green’ – single flowered, cup-shaped blooms consist of white and green petals, AGM holder, height 40cm; ‘Green River’ – showy and vibrant, each bloom boasts tones of apricot, yellow, pink and orange which are delicately ‘flashed’ by a stripe of rich, fern green, height 35cm; and ‘Florosa’ – pastel pink and cream petals intensify in colour as the blooms mature, culminating in deep pink shades with lime green streaks to the centre of each petal, height 50cm. Elegant and stylish, Viridiflora are one of the longer flowering perennial Tulips with fascinating colour combinations. Preferring to be planted in well-drained soil, in full sun, Tulip Viridiflora are hardy (H6) bulbous perennials. Allow foliage to die back naturally to reinvigorate the bulb ready for flowering in the following spring.
