Tell Me More...
A twist on the more commonly seen kniphofia - this hybrid variety brings torch-like flowers from July through to September with an intense, golden glow. The wide flowerheads of Kniphofia x hybrid 'Pyromania Solar Flare' will ignite your borders, rockeries and containers and pull in bees, butterflies and other pollinators for a nectar-rich feast. The spiky flowers have upright habit which gives unique drama to your garden and makes an exceptional inclusion in vases and floral displays too. In addition, from March to November, grass-like foliage provides textural contrast with its tall, arching swathes - unlike many kniphofia these clumps remain neat and tidy throughout the season.A resilient plant, which is happy growing in coastal areas and unbothered by salty sea winds - plants are drouth tolerant once they have established good root structure.Kniphofia x hybrid 'Pyromania Solar Flare' is a hardy, herbaceous perennial which prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun or partial shade. Expect a mature height and spread of around 90cm.
