A deciduous, twining climber with dark green pinnate foliage which is bronze tinged when it first appears in March. Jasminum ‘Inverleith’ leaves quickly unfurl and clamber to form a rich foil to the pink buds begin to emerge in June. These open in clusters to form a mass of starry, six-petalled flowers – each with a pinkish tinge to the predominant white of the flowers. Blooming continues through to the end of summer and the sweet, captivating perfume is powerful enough to drift around the surrounding garden both during the day and in the evening. Plants mature to a maximum height of 8 metres, with a spread of 3 metres over 2-5 years. Ideal for planting in a container or open ground in a smaller garden – particularly near a seat or house window to make the most of the perfume.
