Maturing to green, the dark tones remain at the base.In summer, exotic-looking flowers with incredible markings rise on strong stems to the delight of your local pollinators. Native to North America, where this Iris grows in the wild, it is also known by the common name, Windermere Iris.An outstanding performer, Iris x robusta 'Dark Aura' has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.Iris x robusta 'Dark Aura' prefers to be grown in moist soil in a sunny or partly shaded area. Reaching a height of around 90cm, spreading to around 40cm it is a fully hardy perennial with an RHS hardiness rating of H7, so will not require any winter protection across the UK.
