Tell Me More...
A long-standing favourite which has been hard to get hold of until recently. Iris reticulata 'Blue Note' is reminiscent of dark, starry skies with its deep colours, accented by streaks of white and splashes of yellow. Although diminutive in size these beautiful irises will have a big impact - bringing vibrancy and vivid markings from February to March. Perfect for pots, rockeries and open ground, as well as cut for a vase. Flowers are among the first splashes of colour in the garden and offer a cheery transition from the winter cold. Furthermore, plants are enticing to pollinators and drought tolerant once they have established.Iris reticulata 'Blue Note' grows to a height of approximately 15-20cm. Plant in poor, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun. Very hardy, they will naturalise, and ignite the border when poking through a blissful blanket of late season snow.
