Ipomoea ‘Solar Tower Black’ brings a dramatic and elegant touch to summer containers with its heart-shaped, almost black ornamental foliage and vigorous, eager habit. A relative of the Sweet Potato from south-east Asia, Ipomoea is a vine plant grown for its spectacular leaf shape, colouring, and foliage density rather than the tuber it produces underground. Plant at the edge of hanging baskets, over walls, in pots and as groundcover where it will bring lush texture and soften hard landscaping lines. Ipomoea ‘Solar Tower Black’ is exceptionally heat tolerant, thriving best in full sun or partial shade with any aspect other than north facing. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil of any kind and feed your Ipomoea with liquid fertiliser once a month for best results.
