Ipomoea 'Solar Power Black Heart'Ipomoea 'Solar Power Black Heart' brings a dramatic and elegant touch to summer containers with its heart-shaped, almost black ornamental foliage. A relative of the Sweet Potato from south-east Asia, Ipomoea is a vine plant grown for its spectacular leaf shape, colouring, and foliage density rather than the tuber it produces underground.Plant at the edge of hanging baskets, pots, and as groundcover in your borders to add lush texture and soften lines. Makes an excellent container companion to annuals such as Petunias, Heliotropium, and wispy ornamental grasses.Very heat tolerant, thriving best in full sun or part shade in fertile, well-drained soil. H&S: 30cm x 70cm.Feed with liquid fertiliser once a month and keep well-watered during hot or dry spells of weather for healthy leaves from spring until autumn.
