A dramatic looking plant with large, dock-like leaves which bring a touch of the jungle to your planting from March to October each year. Then, from June to August, Inula magnifica offers feathery, delicate looking, daisy-like blooms which are up to 15cm wide. These flowers will shine forth from a sunny border to pull in bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Plant this unusual bloom to the fore so that it can be admired for both its foliage and its sunny flowers whilst lending its architectural presence to the garden (and ensure it has space to spread as it 'settles in'.Inula magnifica prefers moist (not waterlogged) soil in full sun with a south or west facing aspect. Perfect for the edge of a pond or damper part of the garden. A hardy, herbaceous perennial which will reach a height of 2m, with a spread of 85cm.
