Richly toned, double blooms resembling miniature roses set against robust, simple, gently serrated foliage offer opulence and drama in pots, baskets and open ground. Flowering from May right through to October Impatiens walleriana ‘Glimmer Orange’ crosses three seasons with its abundant blooms. Foliage emerges slightly earlier in March, giving it time to establish and becoming a multi-branched plant – ready to hold its masses of flowers and provide a feast for pollinators as well as admiring eyes. Plant Impatiens walleriana ‘Glimmer Orange’ in rich, moist, well-drained soil of any kind. Position in sun or shade with any aspect other than north facing. This tender perennial reaches a height of 40cm, with a spread of 30cm, and, as a tender, herbaceous perennial, is most frequently grown as annual summer bedding. Plants can, however, be overwintered indoors once temperatures drop below 1°C then returned outdoors again the following year once the risk of cold has passed.
