Six months of strong, sumptuous and stylish blooms, commencing in June and remaining until the first frosts around November time. Illustrious Salvia Collection is a fantastic way to assist your gardens colourful and aromatic transition from summer into autumn, bring heady, heavenly shades to illuminate your containers, rockeries, wildlife gardens and vases. Flowers are much loved by pollinators too so not only will plants encourage them into your garden, the nectar will provide a sustaining shot of late sustenance too. Illustrious Salvia Collection is made up of AGM holding Amistad with its dark stems and vibrant tubular flowers (H: 1.2m S: 75cm); African Sky with heavenly blue petals and hits of burgundy to the foliage (H: 80cm S: 60cm); and Pink Amistad in cool yet colourful tones (H: 1.5m S: 50cm). All prefer well-drained soil and are drought tolerant once established. Choose a spot, south or west facing, in full sun and partial shade where you can take full advantage of the herby aromatics when leaves are brushed past. Plants are half-hardy, herbaceous perennials which may need protection in colder winters.
