Iberis x hybrida 'Mermaid Lavender' brings compact mounds of lavender toned, dainty umbels to the garden. This exciting new variety has a longer blooming period than other iberis and produces flowers in its first year. Blooms start in May and last through to September, standing over deep green, serrated edged foliage. Just perfect alongside other Candytuft or low growing perennials. Iberis x hybrida 'Mermaid Lavender' are heat and drought tolerant once roots have established. An evergreen, hardy perennial which is robust as well as radiant and makes an excellent cut flower with great vase life. Pollinators will also love this attractive bloom for its abundant provision of nectar. Iberis x hybrida 'Mermaid Lavender' is a fantastic, relatively low growing plant for the edge of borders or paths as well as containers and gravel gardens. Evergreen perennials which prefer well-drained soil in full sun or part shade and will reach a height and spread of 35cm.
