Hypochaeris radicata, produces a dazzling, natural summer display of colour Dandelion-like blooms are perhaps the brightest shade of yellow of any flower.
A rosette forming perennial with hairy, oblong leaves. Known as Cat’s Ear because of the soft downy foliage. Use young leaves in salads or stir-fries; blooms in summer and autumn.

Hypochaeris radicata has an RHS hardiness rating of H4 and prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. A fully hardy annual, she will reach a height of 30cm and spreads to 10cm. Remember to collect the seed so it can be sown for the following year.
