Tell Me More...
One of the greatest delights of hypericum are the shiny autumn fruits which swiftly follow their star-shaped blooms, Hypericum inodorum Magical Universe produces the most stunning, mahogany berries atop its wine-red stems. No wonder hypericum, otherwise known as St. John's wort, are so loved by florists! The gorgeous oval berries grow deeper in colour as they age and have an exceptional vase life, adding texture, shape, and seasonality to your floral arrangements. The flowers themselves are equally as beautiful, each with 5 perfect, egg-yolk yellow petals surrounding delicate long stamens. Clusters of bright, blossom-like flowers shine upwards from the dark green leaves which are attractively flushed red. Hypericum inodorum Magical Universe grows well in sun or partial shade, on fertile, well-drained soil. This hardy shrub will reach between 60-80cm in both height and width once fully grown forming an attractive rounded shape and providing valuable year-round interest and colour in your garden.
