If you have been searching for a beautiful, refined shrub to add an air of gentle romance to your garden then Hydrangea paniculata Romantic Ace is the perfect choice. The word paniculata, refers to the profusion of tiny flowers forming large panicles which this family of hydrangea bears. Hydrangea paniculata Romantic Ace differs from most paniculata varieties as the flowerheads are round rather than cone shaped. In June, the flowers emerge in a shade of soft lime green, turning creamy yellow with a delicate pink edging which intensifies as the season progresses. The spherical flowerheads, measuring 15-20cm across are densely packed with florets, yet graceful and airy and bloom in abundance against ovate, dark-green leaves. This beautiful shrub has a strong upright growth habit reaching a maximum height of 2m with a width of 1.5m. Plant Hydrangea paniculata Romantic Ace in a spot in sun or part-shade in hummus-rich soil where it will thrive, adding elegance to your planting scheme.Fully hardy shrub.
