Tell Me More...
One of the smallest of the familyHydrangea on a small scale but no need to be scared because Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Spooky' has all the flower power of its larger relatives.Full, rounded panicles of small, white, apple-green tinted blooms which open from bright green buds are held atop strong stems from July to October. So many domed clusters are produced, the attractive, lush, dark green foliage is almost entirely hidden.Excellent cut to add excitement and something a little different to floral arrangements, lasting well in a vase. The genus name comes from the Greek hydros which means water, and angos meaning jar, referring to the seed capsules which resemble a water vessel.A fully hardy shrub, Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Spooky' reaches a mature height of 50cm, spreading to around 40cm, and has been given the RHS hardiness rating of H7, so will not require any winter protection. Becoming dormant over winter, new foliage will sprout in spring,
