Tell Me More...
A very different looking hydrangea which is new for 2025. Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Magical Edgy Green Pink’ is perfect if you are looking for a hydrangea to stop people in their tracks. You can’t help but gaze at the exciting colours of this precious new variety, either in a vase or in the garden. Best planted in borders, containers or dappled shade at woodland edges where the lime accented flowers will positively shine forth. Verdant foliage is pinnate and deeply veined to add further interest and emerges before the blooms in March. Intriguing flowers follow from July to September with a pale lime base colour from which the dramatic splashes of pink will really ‘pop’ for you. Plant Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Magical Edgy Green Pink’ in moist, well-drained soil of any kind except chalk based. Bear in mind that neutral to alkaline pH will sustain the pink petals and adjusting soil to suit is easy if you plant your hydrangea in a container. Otherwise, an annual mulch of appropriate soil once planted in the ground will also assist. Position in partial shade of any aspect and your hardy (H5) deciduous shrub should thrive for many years.
