Where to plant Amarcrinum
Amarcrinum are best planted in a light, fertile, well-drained soil within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in a sheltered area that receives full sun. Amarcrinum are well suited to tropical style gardens, in borders and containers.
How to plant Amarcrinum
Amend the soil with some grit before planting to improve its drainage. Plant your bulbs so that the tip is just below the top of the soil. Water thoroughly and deeply after planting. Amarcrinum resent being disturbed so ideally plant them out in a position where you would like them to stay.
How to care for Amarcrinum
Water well in spring and summer. In periods of hard or prolonged frost, provide your plants with some protection such as horticultural fleece or a dry mulch. If your plants are in containers or pots, then you can move these to a frost-free environment over the winter period.
