Tell Me More...
Rounded, lush and textured. Hosta 'Sunset Grooves' produces wider than usual leaves which are thick and have an interesting puckered, almost corrugated look. With dark green margins and stunning yellow-green centres, they reflex to become almost cup-shaped. Forming a sturdy and attractive mound, in summer, tall stems arise, each holding several lilac buds. The buds open to reveal lilac, lily-like blooms, giving you flowers to cut for your home from June to August.Growing to around 60cm tall and wide when mature, Hosta 'Sunset Grooves' becomes dormant in late autumn and over winter, ready to sprout new foliage in the spring. A fully hardy perennial, with an RHS hardiness rating of H7, which will survive all year round outside with no extra protection required. As with other variegated varieties, Hosta 'Sunset Grooves' is best grown in light, dappled shade to reach their full colour contrast, in moist but well-drained soil.
