Hosta 'Royal Standard'Beautiful light green ruffled leaves with highly fragrant flowersHosta 'Royal Standard' is a vigorous variety of Hosta which forms a luscious mass of glossy light green leaves from March to November. From June to August it will bare delicate white blooms on slender stems which have the added benefit of being highly scented. These flowers are ideal for cutting, particularly if you grow Hosta plants mostly for their large architectural leaves.Reaching a height and spread of up to 1 metre, Hosta 'Royal Standard' is one of the larger growing Hosta varieties so makes an ideal ground cover plant. Perfect in a patio pot or planted in a semi-shady area of the garden where it will bring a shot of zingy colour to your planting scheme. Looks stunning planted with ferns and grasses.Protect Hostas from slug and snail damage using a gravel top dressing or organic slug pellets. Hosta 'Royal Standard' is a fully hardy herbaceous perennial which enjoys being planted in well-drained soil in partial to full shade.
