Hibiscus syriacus ‘Pinky Spot’ is a delightful cultivar cherished for its charming and distinctive flowers. This deciduous shrub, commonly known as Rose of Sharon, belongs to the Malvaceae family. Characterised by an abundance of trumpet-shaped blooms, each with a blend of pink hues, the petals feature a captivating pattern with a prominent pink spot at the centre, surrounded by lighter shades that gradually fade towards the edges. Thriving in full sun, and well-drained soil, it is an excellent choice for gardens or landscapes seeking a burst of colour. Blooming from mid to late summer, bees and other pollinators will be attracted by the source of nectar. Easy to care for, only requiring only occasional pruning to maintain its shape and encourage continued flowering. Hardy to around -15°C, and suitable to be planted as a standalone specimen or incorporated into mixed borders, Hibiscus syriacus ‘Pinky Spot’ is a deciduous shrub which will reach about 3m in height and spread to 2m.
