Tell Me More...
No skating on thin ice; this beauty has it allA long-awaited hybrid plant which is a cross between a heuchera and a tiarella and has proven itself equally, if not more, popular with gardeners. Taking the best qualities of both to form an eye catching and easy-going combination.Heucherella 'Cracked Ice' provides vigorous, compact, mound-forming foliage which reaches 25cm in height with a 45cm spread. Alongside these it offers slender, strong stems of tiny bell-shaped white flowers from May-July for a delicate 'tiarella' touch. The leaves are astonishing and multi-faceted in tone. Deeply lobed, silver-flushed, purple to dark blue-green leaves are darker at the veins then flushed with pink and orange during spring and autumn. Truly astounding and show-stopping in the colour stakes!Heucherella 'Cracked Ice' is a semi-evergreen, hardy perennial which prefers moist, well-drained soil in part sun to full shade with any aspect. Tidy any scraggy foliage in spring and remove any dead stems ready for your heucherella to reinvigorate and return to its former glory.
