Tell Me More...
As strong and individual as the beauty often sung about, Sweet Georgia BrownOne of our favourite heucheras, 'Georgia Peach' bears large, rounded, orangey-pink leaves with a contrasting, silvery overlay, picking out the delicate veining on each leaf. These mature to a rich, rose-purple in autumn, when the silver markings take on a distinctly frosty look. In summer, tall, slender stems bear delicate creamy flowers, attractive to pollinators and good for cutting. This easy ground cover plant is happy in a range of conditions, and able to tolerate extremes of heat. One quirk of heuchera is that the woody rootstock tends to push upwards. An annual mulch, and occasional lifting and replanting more deeply will maintain optimal appearance. Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained, neutral soil, in sun or partial shade. Full shade may be tolerated if soil is consistently moist. H&S: 35cm x 50cm. Hardy, semi-evergreen perennial (more deciduous in colder conditions).
