Tell Me More...
With its large, curly leaves that have a semi-reflective sheen to them - the name of this newcomer really does suit its visual impact. Silky, black ruffled leaves are held all year for extra depth and drama to beds, containers, hanging baskets and even gravel gardens. Then, from June to August, this attention seeking heuchera bears multiples of pale pink, bell-shaped flowers on strong, straight stems - perfect for adding to a vase or bouquet and a marvellous way of pulling in the pollinators too. A fantastic way to vary the form and focus of your planting by shifting attention from flowers to foliage.Heuchera 'Black Taffeta' prefers moist, well-drained soil of any type apart from chalk in full sun or partial shade, although if you garden on clay soil you will need to adjust the drainage accordingly. A hardy, evergreen perennial which overwinters well throughout most of the UK without any additional protection and reaches a height and spread of 40cm.
