Tell Me More...
With unusual rich, rose-pink leaves which deepen to purple throughout the season, the clump-forming, evergreen Heuchera 'Berry Smoothie' is an eye-catching source of year-round interest. In summer, panicles of small, creamy white flowers are borne on tall, upright stems; both highly attractive to pollinators, and good for cutting. Heuchera is an easy ground cover plant which is happy in a range of conditions, and able to tolerate extremes of heat. Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained, neutral soil, in sun or partial shade. Full shade may be tolerated if soil is consistently moist. H&S: 45cm x 50cm. Hardy, evergreen perennial. The woody rootstock of heuchera tends to push upwards. An annual mulch, and occasional (every few years) lifting and replanting more deeply will maintain optimal appearance.
