New for 2025, Hemerocallis ‘Stella Tangerine’ offers daylily lovers with smaller gardens the perfect solution. Plant these warm and fruity hued blooms in a container so you too can enjoy their prolific blooming abilities in courtyards and on balconies or patios. Plants reach a height and spread of around 40cm so will not overpower your carefully planned planting scheme yet are as vigorous and vital as their taller cousins. Lily-like flowers emerge in June and, with deadheading, can be encouraged to keep flowering right through to July. Hemerocallis ‘Stella Tangerine’ is a drought tolerant and robust variety with swordlike foliage produced from March to September each year. Plant in any type of well-drained soil. Water well until plants are established and position in full sun or partial shade of any aspect except north facing. A hardy (H6), herbaceous perennial which should be trimmed back once flowers and foliage fade in autumn.
