A triumph of cream and pink picotee flowers sitting atop bottle green leaves, makes Helleborus x hybridus ‘Frostkiss Glenda’s Gloss’ a most attractive, appealing, and versatile plant. When a new series of hellebores arrive, there is always excitement and none more so than the launch of this variety. The colouring of this hellebore is quite dramatic, as is the size of the flowers in comparison to the rest of the plant. These blooms are colourful, big, and bountiful. Perhaps the greatest attribute of the ‘Frostkiss’ series is how early they flower. The first buds appear in January and the flowers continue through to April. This is a relative of the buttercup and the early season nectar is appreciated by the first pollinators. Hellebores prefer moist fertile soils, though are renowned for their robustness. Dappled shade is the optimum light for hellebores and ‘Frostkiss Glenda’s Gloss’ is as equally hardy as all varieties of hellebores. Maintenance is minimal, remove any dead material once the new foliage and flowers start to appear. Height and spread 60cm.
