Helianthemum ‘Sulphureum Plenum’ is a compact, spreading, evergreen shrub which offers weed-suppressing, beneficial groundcover all year round. Double, yellow flowers are borne above the silvery-green foliage from May to August each year for sunny and sizzling summer colour. Helianthemum ‘Sulphureum Plenum’ makes a perfect addition to borders, slopes and rock or gravel gardens – places in which many other shrubs will struggle to establish. As a native of the Mediterranean, North and South America, Asia, and North Africa, Helianthemum ‘Sulphureum Plenum’ will thrive in full sun and well-drained soil. Plants are drought tolerant once they have established a strong root structure, so dig in generous amount of organic matter to the planting hole and plenty of grit if you garden on heavy soil to facilitate this. Lightly trim back plants after flowering to encourage their bushy, floriferous habit. Helianthemum ‘Sulphureum Plenum’ prefers a site with well-drained soil in full sun and any aspect other than north-facing. A hardy shrub which reaches a height of 30cm with a spread of 50cm.
