A safe, Hedgehog Association approved haven, the ‘Hedgehog Haus’ will protect hedgehogs and other mammals from garden tools, house pets, badgers, and foxes - much safer than a compost heap or bonfire.
Designed to look natural, a sturdy, rust-proofed steel frame is covered with a waterproof felt lining, this is stylishly covered with a brushwood finish and decorated with rattan bands. A wooden, predator proof tunnel is made from FSC approved and certified timber and gives the hogs a safe entrance.
Spacious enough for family groups, and predominantly designed for shelter the ‘Hedgehog Haus’ may also be used for hibernation during winter. Best located within some leafy cover, out of any prevailing winds, pile leaves or foliage around the house to further camouflage it. Dry grass or leaves can be placed inside as nesting material.
