Glowing shuttlecock-shaped flowers in shades of yellows and vibrant oranges will not fail to bring a colourful heatwave to your late summer and autumn garden. Incredible when planted in drifts for a generous and opulent impact, perfect for pots or containers, and they make great cut flowers for your indoor arrangements too. Deer and rabbit resistant, helenium provide a late season nectar-rich banquet for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Helenium prefer to grow in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny spot although they will also cope well with a little shade. Being herbaceous, they will die back, becoming dormant, through the winter, ready to emerge with renewed energy in the spring. This collection comprises; ‘Carmen’ – height 50-60cm; ‘Ruby Tuesday’ – height 75cm, spread 50cm; and ‘Wesergold’ – height 90cm, spread 60cm. All are fully hardy to H7 meaning they should not require any frost protection across the UK.
